Game Recruitment Thread

Post by GundamChief on Mon Dec 24, 2012 3:35 pm

This thread is for Recruitment only. People post here what they are recruiting for, a basic summery of what they are running, what they can expect in the game (Violence, Smut, Etc.), and how many people you are looking for.

Although Discussion (questions about the game) is fine, since the object is to recruit players, either open a seperate thread to fully discuss the game or PM each other instead of cluttering up this thread.

I've had some requests to restart some old games. I'll let people choose

A Genin team is you

A Sakura is you

A Galatea for you

Please someone else agree with me. Spacebattles has at least ten of the damn naruto/??? threads going and I'm sick of seeing them. This was an awesome thread before the MODS on Spacebattles hammered it down!

For reasons completely unrelated to the thread itself I might add.

Hmm ... failing horribly at playing another Galatea thread ... the concept is somehow appealing to me. It has nothing at all to do with her considerable assets. ^^

That and Psycho is planning on throwing in everything and the kitchen sink with all the great DC and Marvel cartoon series.

So, akin to the last iteration I recall from SB? Shiny. That's half the fun.

Yep...

DCAU, Teen Titians, Green Lantern Animated Series... X-Men Evolution, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and The Amazing Spiderman...

and I might steal some ideas from other sources as well! Wink

So, any super power suggestions?

I still think a fluff fully realized Dovahkiin would be a good addition. It's unique and there isn't a perfect comparison to other powers we bounced around but tossed aside.

In addition to the ones already present, you mean?

Elijah Snow and The Drummer from Planetary could be an option, though the former is more 'stereotypical' superhero.

The Shadow. Though there's probably a psychic gunslinger Batman out there somewhere already.

Hellsing Vampire.

Exalt.

Yeah. I have some preset possibilites...

The Avatar, A Sayian, a Spiral....

Huh?

The Shadow. Though there's probably a psychic gunslinger Batman out there somewhere already.

Heh.

Hellsing Vampire.

Remember, nothing exists in a vacuum, so if you have Hellsing Vampires that means you also have to deal with...

Exalt.

Nah.

... worth it.

Hell, here's an idea - the original Golden Age kryptonian powerset (quoth the wiki: Superman's original powers mainly consisted of superstrength, superspeed, supersenses, and invulnerability. As described in Action Comics #1 (June 1938): "When maturity was reached, he discovered he could easily: Leap 1/8th of a mile [201 meters]; hurdle a twenty-story building...raise tremendous weights...run faster than a express train... and that nothing less than a bursting shell could penetrate his skin!") Hilariously awkward once it comes out. 'Wait, you're an attempt to clone Superman/Supergirl?'

Well, what does everything think of the idea of a group RP each person playing a single individual in a fallout based universe?

Might be fun. How many degrees of freedom do we get in terms of chargen?

Well, would you like it to be local characters or poor schmucks dropped into the universe?

Either would work, though hopefully we'd get some chargen options for the 'poor schumcks' choice. If so, that would be a nice Out Of Context Problem for the locals.

Fallout?

I was always curious what was up North, by Sea/ Tac along the Coast, especially if you 'Inherited' the working Oil Tanker.

Scavenging from surviving Oil rigs or Mothballed Fleets.

Fallout inspired acutally... and Terra, do you use skype? If so well, we're using that as a chatroom these days if you're at all interested.

I'd like to try running a game of Mutants & Masterminds 2ed on this site. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it's a D20 based superhero rpg. Since I'm an inexperienced GM I'm going to use a published adventure to make things easier for myself. If anyone is interested please let me know.
