Mecha Maximus!
Monday night's game of Meka Tac: Giant Stompy Robots Edition - Gladiatorial battles.
Those are 3 Mekton figures by RAFM, and an old Battledroid from Ral Partha. I've been collecting these things for a while.
A shakedown game for the club's games day at the end of the month. Wanted to make sure all the goodies were in the box and ready to rumble. There was even talk of a mecha gladiator campaign using the rules.
No heat to track, and shoot whenever you want during your mech's activation. Ya know: just like in the anime. The game can even be scaled for gashapon or (if you have an empty gymnasium handy) plamodels.
And it's FREE!

The board:
Arena, with mech stable off to one side. Please note tabletop periscope. The game was hosted at the Friendly, Local Game & Comics Store.
Yes, it does look like an abandoned quarry. Blame a youth spent watching Doctor Who and sentai shows, I guess. Made from 2" upholstery foam covered with spray paint. The mat is headliner - a sheet of fabric backed with a thin layer of foam. I run convention games, so anything to keep the kit light and indestructible is a plus.
The scenario was "king of the hill". There were two players, each with 2 mechs. They both selected a mech with close-in combat capabilities and another with ranged or indirect-fire weapons. They would enter the board from opposite corners.

Re: Mecha Maximus!
Unfortunately, that's probably not going to happen. There will be NEW Mekton figures in a NEW scale http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1888572386/mekton-zero?ref=card#faq_60561 to go with the NEW version of the Mekon RPG. I'm hoping they won't be too small to fit in with my existing collection.
Re: Mecha Maximus!
The mechs with stats! As well as the optional deck of ACTION cards, and an admittedly unnecessary tabletop periscope.
The mecha are all size 8 and have jump jets - though each is armed differently. Again, as this game gets run at conventions, so keeping things simple is very important.
The cards are optional, but add a bit of unpredictability to the game: extra move points, mecha stuck, extra attacks, re-roll the dice, deflect damage, add an extra critical hit, counter an action card just played, etc.
The periscope is not needed, but it does answer a few questions concerning line of sight - and gets the geek juices flowing!
Had 23 mechs painted up and ready to go. Some of the figures saw the brush almost 30 years ago, and others as recently as last week.
Close-up part 1. Looks like a RIGHT-CLICK > VIEW IMAGE is in going to be needed.
And close-up part 2.
Can you name them all?
The mecha stat cards are printed on blank 4" x 6" cards which are then slid into hard card protectors so that dry erase markers can be used to keep track of all damage done to the mech.

Re: Mecha Maximus!
I saw that, didn't back it because frankly I couldn't be less interested in the T-shirt if I physically tried. I wish there was a "PDF copy only" version.
Re: Mecha Maximus!
I wanted to back the Mekton KS because it's my favorite mecha RPG, and each edition was better than the previous one. Unfortunately, funds are limited, it got the funding without me, and a hardcopy version will be out at the end of the year, anyway.
