You might be able to get there a day before the fleet is ready to leave. You pound your way north, resting just enough to prevent exhaustion in the army. Soon you reach the fleet and it is a MASSIVE sight. Countless ships are on the shore as women and children pour onto them with recalcitrant livestock while their menfolk guard the loading of them. When they spot you the entire encampment scrambles like an ant hill that was kicked over.

Well this should be a straight forward enough operation then. So the plan will be for Ulf and the main force to deal with the defenders, while I move through and take out the ships so that can't set sail. Either by shattering the hauls or taking out there masts and oars. Then once those are done, I move over to flank the defenders my men are dealing with and crush them. Before moving on to finish all that are left of the Grealings here.

I head over to check on him.

He's alright, in fact, he actually starts laughing.

Awesome. I make sure to practice with them, since unless things get hairy I'll probably be using these more than the runic weapons.

It takes a few practices, but you manage to get competant with your aim.  The force of your attack on the other hand, is still awe inspiring.

It's not impossible. There are probably trails and dirt tracks/roads. Strategically, they'd retain a lot of their mobility in that case. Tactically, though ...

Makes sense

True, but I really meant that in most strategy games I've played I've consistently done better with infantry than I have with mounted troops.

Heh

I make it into some relatively deep woods that night, and howl out a greeting.

look at Valten. "You think they memorize this shit from some 'Villainous Handbook of Ominous Threats' or something?"

"I wouldn't be THAT surprised if that were the case."

I roll my eyes. "No, the boys will not be interested... but REAL MEN like a woman who can handle herself! Isn't that right, little brother?"

He coughs and averts his eyes but he nods.

And not the awesome hammer?

gag from Ironforge's stuff

"We come to speak to the king and we come bearing gifts and information."

I hold up the Skaven head.

That gets their attention, the sneaky horned bastards are hard to pin down.

"Plus our friend here has a grudge that needs to be addressed."

I nod at the old Dwarf who clearly they didn't see.

They apologize for not seeing the elder and ask for his name and clan.  When he gives it their eyes widen in surprise.  That Dwarven memory seemed to do them well in remembering who his clan was.  Looking amongst each other they say that they'll send you along but they tell you that it might take a while.  The king has plenty to deal with.

Be more mindful

This is a cold kick to the face, and a reminder to me that however tough I am, few others were and I needed to remember that.

His family were all killed and eaten by beastmen.

That's another swift kick to my gut.  Unable to do anything else...once I get the chance to, I summon the Dwarven Craftsman who built the harness.  I tell him the hunter's fate and since he had no kin I said that his share could be divided between the two of us.  IF that is something he's willing to do.

"Bloody norskin. I should box your ears!"

"If you want to try me, I'll see you after I meet with the Graf."

He looks at you levelly. "Khazrak the One-Eye is not one of those beastmen that you just happen to 'bag'. Explain how he fell."

I sigh, "Alright, I'll tell you but I should warn you, this is something that should be kept private.  I met with the ar-ulric days ago and he asked that I keep this secret.  If you want to know then I need to tell you this...alone."

If it convinces him to send the rest away, then I tell him the story I'd told the others about my past AND what happened at the temple of Ulric.  I tell him about my strength, about my durability, and about the weapons I wielded.

If he doesn't go for it, then I tell him that I lucked out in finding him distracted and open to attack.  I leaped on him and hacked him down before he could respond.  Then I took his head and ran like hell.

I put away my weapons after wiping off the blood of the goblins, then turned to the knight and his men at arms.

"Aye, that is correct, these fools probably believed that two lone travelers were easy prey." I stated simply. "I am Marcus Raynor, what is your name sir knight?"

"I am Sir Charles d'Main my hold is a few miles down the pass."  He looks around at the goblins again and shakes his head.  "Goblins, to think that they were THIS close to my hold.  You have my thanks dealing with this little band."

He then offers to escort you across his holdings.

Ulf nods and off you go on the attack.  You swing quickly around the Graeling encampment while the main army meets with the defenders.   The clash is like thunder at tens of thousands of warriors clash.  The raging hatred on either side was obvious at both sides hammerd into each other with a ferocity that boggled the mind.  In all of this chaos you quickly start disabling ships, smashing oars, snapping masts, punching holes into them.

When the Graelings realize what is happening many, especially those who had their families already on the ships they break from the fight and sprint to join their kin.  That of course leaves the ones still fighting outnumbered and the fight turns in the favor of the Bjornlings.

By the time the last ship you can get to is taken down around 150 ships managed to get out to sea.  Easily another 800 ships were not so lucky.  The Bjornlings then fell on the trapped Graelings and began wholesale slaughter, men, women, and children sparing no one.

No! They can't get away as this will just start of later then if that many of them can leave. As then all the horror we have done and go through would have been wasted and that is not something I am will to have happen. So with that I tell Ulf to gather the men and make camp here, while gathering anything of value and cleaning up here. As I'm going for a swim and I will make sure that the Grealings die out today. An so I will swim after the retreating boats and just do enough damage to sink them, before moving on to the next and then once they all start to sink. I'll head back, letting the ocean claim them all.

You rush after the beasts though you soon have to carry Willaim as both you and the beasts quickly outpace him.

After running through the mountains you finally come to a cavern that the beasts rush into.

You've found their lair.
I'll put sir Gisoux back down and say "I hope you enjoyed the ride, its about to get even wilder", followed by a boisterous laugh. After he has regained his balance I'll ask if he's ready to "Confront an unknown number of chimera in their own deep dark lair" in an ominous tone while sporting the biggest grin.

Again, I'll take the lead and slowly enter the lair, weapons drawn and eyes alert.

Time to nip this in the bud, I stick two fingers in my mouth and whistle loudly enough to get their attention. Once I have it I turn to each of them. "My lords. While I know that the both of you have honest concerns over the state of this situation. But I feel that I have to warn you that this neither the time or place for politics. Not when the entire world's survival is at stake. In the Chaos wastes right now there is a former man who has been singled out by the four of the Far North as the Everchosen. We have maybe a few years before he comes and marches for Middenheim. Whatever your concerns or politics, it is imperative that we prepare for the war of the age."

I look to both of them, "Lord Count, whatever his methods, the ar-Ulric did have an honest concern, imagine if some of the more insanse Sigmarites heard of this matter?"

"As a side note ar-Ulric, what sort of Secrecy did you hope to keep if we decided to send the entire cult's fighting force like you offered when I gave my intentions of going after the One-Eye?"

Not that much other than the occasional shift your feet just a hair or angle your blow just that much.

Your howl rumbles through the forest.  The leaves shake in the trees and every living thing goes completely silent...

Then they come.  Wolves, packs of them, dozens of them, hundreds of them.

When all is said and done easily 1000 wolves of normal size are seated around you deep in the woods.

He gives you a look, then sighs and draws his weapon.

Again, I'll take the lead and slowly enter the lair, weapons drawn and eyes alert.

You find the beasts at the back of the cave quivering.  They look ready to panic when they see you approaching.

I see no reason to refuse such a generous offer. Might as well take it and then be on our way afterwards. Well, lets get on with it.

The ride through the knight's holding is quite peaceable and you get through with little trouble.  You finish the trek through the pass a day later and soon you see the castle of Montfort.  The largest human made structure in the old world.

Anything you wish to do here before you pass on through?

Good information to know. I check over the equipment and get some practice in with the nets and the gear.

Alright.

For several days, you, the hunters, Piet, and the massive pack of wolves move through the mountains.  The pack and the hunters sensing out possible targets.

After a few days the wolves pick up on something and the hunters confirm it as Hippogriff spoor.  It heads down along a valley to the right of the main track.

The shrieks of women and children chase after you for a long while but you've done it. The Graelings as a great tribe is utterly destroyed. They will never rise again.
It's deed is done and though I know I never well be able to shed the shame or weight of the disgust from my actions in this campaign. I also know that with this action will have my people will never have to fear from Grealings chaos aggression again or a revenge in the future, as it all ended here. So I will continue to wear this shame, this horror on my soul. As it is needed and it will be needed to be done again. As it is my responsibility to carry this burden and see the things that could come to harm my people again as there leader. So that once I die, this weight of horror will end. An with that I swim back to shore and head back to my camp and to my tent to see my Hands and Jarls.

Weary and tried more in spirit then in body I walk infront of them and tell them we are done, that the last of the Grealings are dead and that our people will never have to deal with them again. An that Chaos has grown weaker in the lands of the north. An with that I tell them to spread this news to the men and tell them that we will now march home on the morrow. As there is still much to do and Chaos will not suffer this attack on there power quietly. Then when the others leave I call out to my Hands to stay and ask.

"Ulf. Ingvar. I would have word and counsel with you my Hands before I take leave for the night. Tell me, what where are losses, what where are gains and what is on the minds of men on what was done here? As well as yourselves? As a slaying of a people to the last is no small thing and though I took on the blunt of the burden of this task an it needed to be done. This was still foul and honorless duty. So speak freely and tell me all I need to know."

Then the next day we gather up all that was gained here and head home.

"Just you?  How big an army were they gathering?"

I tell him, and let him know if they're quick they'll still see the mound of corpses.

"Alright.  We'll carry the message along."

You have my thanks.

Less than three days later, you're brought to the great hall of the king, a place so massive that most towns on the surface could fit in it.  Eventually you reach the throne and the king himself.  Thorgrim Grudgebearer, high king of the Karak Ankor.

I enter with my comrades, kneel in respect, give the head of the Gray Seer and a copy of his interrogation with the request that it be copped and disseminated to all relevant parties man and dwarf by his Runebarrers that the Slaven blight maybe checked for a time.

Then its time for news.

I introduce myself and Valten. If asked, hes shows his hammer and I my weapons.

I tell him that as a sign of friendship I would like to lend his people one of my daggers which are encrusted with runes that might find interesting that will also be more immediately useful to him than the ones on the axes. His Runemasters may borrow it until I have need of it again, or a year and a day, whichever span is greater.

I also offer to use my great power and strength to unmake the Nemesis Crown.

And I tell him what's coming.

And I let him know my plan to save Kazador's family if at all possible, and hopefully in the process decimate the orcs of the hold greatly enough that a contingent of brave dwarves may make a foothold in hopes of reclaiming it.

And of course the others will have stuff to say.

For example, the old dwarf has a grudge to be put right... and Valten... I tell him to mention his armor.

Note. Unless I mention otherwise I speak like a dwarf, never SWEARING to do anything, never PROMISING anything...

Basically I'll give things my best and most honorable effort but nothing that in dwarf society would be cause to shave ones head.

"Would have traded the 2000 if I could have prevented getting that man killed."

"Aye, horrible way to die that. But ye learn from your mistakes."

When I stood in the Eternal Flame I saw that he intends to repeat the actions of Magnus the Pious and in doing so irreversibly corrupt the flames and usher in the End Times and the end of the world.  Whatever your concerns or politics, it is imperative that we prepare for the war of the age."

Boris gasps in horror at the thought and then turns red with rage. "They would dare..."

I look to both of them, "Lord Count, whatever his methods, the ar-Ulric did have an honest concern, imagine if some of the more insanse Sigmarites heard of this matter?"

He grimaces at that idea. "You make a valid point."

"As a side note ar-Ulric, what sort of Secrecy did you hope to keep if we decided to send the entire cult's fighting force like you offered when I gave my intentions of going after the One-Eye?"

He blushes and bows his head. "MY apologies. I believe my faith got the best of me."

The Graf snorts. "Happens to the best of us. The Chosen is correct. This is no time for politics. This is a time for War.

Now what?

Considering the raw hatred of the Graelings by the Bjornlings there is little concern over the men's worries. Besides they noted there wasn't a one man, woman, or child who didn't have a symbol of chaos carved into them. As for casualties they lost another 1000 men while the rest of the Graelings are wiped out. They personally didn't personally enjoy it but they knew it had to be done.

Then the next day we gather up all that was gained here and head home.

Following the trail for a while and enter the valley it only takes a little while before you manage to find the hippogriff nest high up on one end of the cliff. The hunters ask what it is you want to try and do?

Other then that, well, maybe see what bounties are around to see if there's any big threats that I should be on the look out for while on the way to Athel Loren.

Does it look like the Hippogryphs are there? Either way, everyone stays on the ground, and I'll climb up there with the Rune weapons and the throwing axes, the nets, the climbing gear, and big enough sack for the egss. Keep my eyes on the sky, and be aware if I need to look at the nest, or at the surroundings.

They seemed amazed, and more than a little impressed.

I'm humble about it. Just letting them know

A scribe quickly takes it.

Good. I hope to see what they've picked out of it.

"Speak then manling."

and I do.

They ask you show, and they are duely impressed.

I also tell him I believe I know where his axe's mate is. It's being used by a famous slayer...

A runesmith, obviously not Ironbrow, takes it and the look on his face when he examines it more closely is priceless.  He whispers to the King and his eyes flicker wider for an instant.  He then nods, saying this is a good gift.

I also mention that I'd like to show Ironbrow my axe and sword. While I will not be here for long one of his skill might be able to at least get a couple ideas from seeing it.

Though I do ask about the hammer currently being used by the Emperor.

THAT gets his attention.  If you do so they will be in your debt.

I just need to be somewhere well away from anything that they don't want exploded. Right on top of a goblin nest would be a good location. Magical artifacts tend to explode violently when sundered by my axe and one of that power, well... I'm probably going to be tying a chain to it to throw it well away from me as not to get harmed by the explostion.

He takes it better than expected.  He seems to have had a feeling something huge was coming.

THe last artifact of chaos is hidden in these mountains. It needs to be found, the demon guarding it slain, and the everchosen'srise halted.

His people are the best suited to find it. Together we can protect this world.

The sparks flash in the eyes of every single dwarf in earshot of that one.  Thorgrim seems speculative about what could happen.

If I have time I will do it soon, if not probably next year... but I will do it as soon as I am able.

The old dwarf steps forward and and says that he wishes to speak with the king alone, it concerns his clan which he mentions by name.

The king's eyes widen then after a moment's thought he nods and says that the two of them would speak further in private.

I not in silent acceptance.

As for the armor.  The king looks Valten up and down.  Then he nods, "It will be done, though I think the lad will need to grow a bit more in order to fill it out."

I chuckle and elbow the boy slightly. "Maybe we need to get some good Dwarf Ale in you to help you bulk up properly."

Done and he notes that you speak well for a Human.

When one is in the halls of Dwarf Kings, one must speak as a Dwarf. I honor the ways and traditions of my hosts. To do less would be disrespectful.

He growls. Point well made.

"They will need to brought into the loop eventually.  It wouldn't do to keep half of the empire's leadership in the dark.  Though how is the big  question..."

"They're idiots," the Ar-Urlic says, "Idiots who follow an insane cult worshiping a dead chamption of Ulric."

I tell them that I intend to track down those who might make a difference in this war.  I then tell them that there was one final image I saw in the flames.  I am not alone.  Ulric was not the only god of the Old World that sent a chosen.  Sigmar sent a champion as well, he is intent on defending the holy site of the god he venerated above all others in life.

He gives you a look, then sighs and draws his weapon.

You find the beasts at the back of the cave quivering. They look ready to panic when they see you approaching.
Hmm, I still wish to add them to my pack. But how shall I accomplish this.

I'll tell William to stay behind me and be patient as I scan the gathered chimeras and try to find the leader. Once I've found it, I will holster my weapons and stare directly into its eyes while trying to mentally convey what I want it to do. I want it to stand down and acknowledge me as Alpha. I will slowly let the pressure of my presence radiate out as I'm staring down the leader to force it to submit.

They roar their praises to King Cameron. King Cameron the Wanderer, King Cameron the Strong. King Cameron the hammer of the North. King Cameron the Wolf King!
Well looks like my name is gathering more titles and fame from the campaign. Though I hope the don't go over board in this, otherwise I might have more names then I can remember.

"Well it was worse then I hoped, but better then feared. As only losing 4,000 men during this whole campaign is something I think no one expect to happen, as getting off this lightly will speak volumes of the strength of arms we have. An should go a long way in getting the other southern clans and tribes to out banner. So I thank you my hands, as without you I know that we would not have gotten off so lightly. An though I know you only did you duty, I thank from the bottom of my heart for you aid in the black mission."

Vargr Skarin

Gear: The usual, hunting spears

Loot: all of 4 silver's worth to his name

"And you have the might of a giant!"

"Aye, though sadly it comes with a similar appetite."

And with that, breakfast!

...oops, then you can jab hard enough to skewer an elephant with pinpoint accuracy.

Shiny. Though the lugs behind the actual blade are there specifically to stop the weapon from penetrating too deep. I get your meaning though.

Not that much other than the occasional shift your feet just a hair or angle your blow just that much.

Every little bit helps.

Your howl rumbles through the forest.  The leaves shake in the trees and every living thing goes completely silent...

Then they come.  Wolves, packs of them, dozens of them, hundreds of them.

When all is said and done easily 1000 wolves of normal size are seated around you deep in the woods.

To say that this is a bit more of a turnout than I had expected to get would be an understatement. I walk among them, growling interrogatives, generally attempting to give the impression that I'm trying to put together a 'pack' of my own, which will venture with me into great danger. I look for the strong, swift and able.

After I've, hopefully, managed to convey this, I'll lead my newfound pack on a hunt. Oh, and I'll save the prized catch of the night to bring with me to the castle.

I think I'll see if there's any news that I can pick up in the city. See how the city is, how the people are, etc.

There is frequent and brisk trade in the city and the ore mining and refining works is huge.  As for news, there isn't much.

(And it'll be amusing to see all the spit takes when they see a WOOD ELF walking with what looks like a Norscan)

You get more than a few looks.

Other then that, well, maybe see what bounties are around to see if there's any big threats that I should be on the look out for while on the way to Athel Loren.

Not much in the way of bounties but apparently there are antsy goblins tribes all along the mountains.

From what the hunters can tell only one of the parents is up there.

The hunters give you a look but shrug, you're the one with the purse strings.

The roughly half way up the cliffside the Hippogriff parent sees you.  It howls in outrage and takes off.

Good. I hope to see what they've picked out of it.

Might take a day or two.

I also tell him I believe I know where his axe's mate is. It's being used by a famous slayer...

He makes a face but doesn't comment.

I also mention that I'd like to show Ironbrow my axe and sword. While I will not be here for long one of his skill might be able to at least get a couple ideas from seeing it.

They'll see what they can do about it.

Though I do ask about the hammer currently being used by the Emperor.

Looking a bit confused the Dwarf king says, "What about it?  It was forged with the Runefangs as a replacement weapon for the Third Emperor."

"You mean you thought it was the original?  Why would a dwarf put the imperial cross on one of their weapons?"

He thinks on it.  Then says that.  First time possible.  They'll make the attempt.  Though if any of his people are harmed or blamed...

The last artifact of chaos is hidden in these mountains. It needs to be found, the demon guarding it slain, and the everchosen's rise halted.

His people are the best suited to find it. Together we can protect this world.

He seems to like the idea, though finding the damn thing will be hard.  Very hard.

If I have time I will do it soon, if not probably next year... but I will do it as soon as I am able.

He likes your confidence if nothing else.

I chuckle and elbow the boy slightly. "Maybe we need to get some good Dwarf Ale in you to help you bulk up properly."

Valten mutters good naturedly.

When one is in the halls of Dwarf Kings, one must speak as a Dwarf. I honor the ways and traditions of my hosts. To do less would be disrespectful.

He mutters something under his breath, complimentary or not you're not sure.

So when's the gold coming?

Soon as I get this stinking head to the Elector Count I give you the money.

He growls. Point well made.

I snarl with him.

"They're idiots," the Ar-Urlic says, "Idiots who follow an insane cult worshiping a dead chamption of Ulric."

"Whatever their mental faculties we need them in this fight and to be ready.  I have heard when I was moving through Reikland that Volkmar is relatively sane.  At least he's willing to fight when the time comes.  Now HOW to get them on without having a repeat of the time of the three emperors?"

If they give me a look at that I shrug and say, "I read a history book of the empire on my ride up here.  Got it in Averland."

And who did he send?

"I'm not entirely sure...himself I would almost say.  It got a bit garbled at the end there."

The Graf likes that idea. What do you intent do to and what would you like from him?

I say that I need good scouts maybe six of them and I need 20 or so of the best fighters both can provide.  This is simply to protect the scouts...the last one I brought with me...well I am NOT to repeat that mistake.  Then I intend to cut a bloody swath through the drakwald for the next month.

Almost seeming to understand your intentions, younger males emerge from the packs.  The biggest and strongest among them.  Some of them are so big you're sure that they have Giant Wolf blood in them as well.  All in all you have about 50 of the biggest, strongest, and toughest wolves for your pack.

After I've, hopefully, managed to convey this, I'll lead my newfound pack on a hunt. Oh, and I'll save the prized catch of the night to bring with me to the castle.

You go on your hunt, running hard and long with the pack.  Before the night is over you bring down around 8 deer and a pair of wild boar.  Your new pack eats well tonight.

When morning comes, what do you intend to do with them?

In hindsight, while trying to focus all the danger on myself may have been noble in theory, it was not the best of ideas. Definitely should have gotten the hunters' opinions on how to handle this. Oh well, too late now. Rolling Eyes

I start climbing faster while keeping an eye on the airborne parent, and ear towards the ground. Hopefully if the second parent shows up, everyone on the ground will shout a warning.

If the Hippogryph tries to attack, I stop climbing, steady myself, and start pelting the damn thing with my throwing axes. If it just flies off to get the second parent, I start hauling it. If it tries to attack the ground camp, I'll either jump down at the monster(if I judge the distance between where I am now, and the ground to be survivable with minimal injury), or I start throwing the axes at it, while rappelling down as fast as possible.

Might take a day or two.

Of course.

He makes a face but doesn't comment.

At least its serving the interests of the Dwarven people by butching their enemies enmass.

They'll see what they can do about it.

So, would you like to do that conversation?

Looking a bit confused the Dwarf king says, "What about it?  It was forged with the Runefangs as a replacement weapon for the Third Emperor."

"I see."

"You mean you thought it was the original?  Why would a dwarf put the imperial cross on one of their weapons?"

"No, but the majority of the Empire is under that flawed assumption. Between you and I, I always questioned its authenticity based on its aesthetic."

He thinks on it.  Then says that.  First time possible.  They'll make the attempt.  Though if any of his people are harmed or blamed...

"I make no promises, but I don't want any of your people near it. I'm going to have to strike off the rune and then throw it with all my strength and pray that is enough. It is a risk, do not mistake."

He seems to like the idea, though finding the damn thing will be hard.  Very hard.

"Easier for you who knows the mountains than I who will be stumbling about blind and ignorant to the land around me."

He likes your confidence if nothing else.

"When I get to it, it will be done to the best of my ability, and my ability is great."

Valten mutters good naturedly.

So, about that beer?

He mutters something under his breath, complimentary or not you're not sure.

Do not ask a king to repeat himself in his hall.

Anything else the others want to bring up?

There is a chuckle from the Graf. "You do that. I will open one of my guest residences to you during your stay. Speak to my servants and you will be shown to the house."

Its one of the ones he reserves for the guests whom he does not want to stay in the palace, often for plausible deniable reasons.

The scouts scramble into camp on day, pale as ghosts and a vague look of panic on their faces.
180,000 beastmen
4000 Chaos trolls
30 Chaos Giants
All coming right for you.
By Thor's beard, the 4 are pissed. As this might just be all the beastmen and every other resource they have in the surrounding area. As there is no other way a force this large could have gotten here otherwise. An damn, there is no way my men can join this battle and not die to the last. As there is just to many of them to deal with for them. An with what is coming, I can't afford to lose the men. So that just leave me one action left and damn, I really didn't expect to have to make this kind of choice so soon and risk it all so soon in the game. But damn am I going to get my men killed in this fight, when there lives can be spent better else where.

So after taking a deep breath to get my thoughts in order for what I am to do in now and for the task that is to come soon after it. I turn to my Hands and tell them to gather the other leaders, as I have orders to give that will decide the fate of our people here an this needed to have happen ten minutes ago. An so when they leave I pour myself a drink to help claim my nerves for what is to come and for what may be my last orders. So that once my men come back I can meet them with a strong front and one that they can take pride and respect in.

So once they have all gather in my tent again I turn to face then, Kingly in every respect that I can mange and say. "My Jarls. My brothers. By now I know you must have all heard what is between us and our homes and must having a inkling to as why. An so I know now is not the time for anything other then the plain truth here and that truth is if we take the field here, we will all die and then the forces of chaos will march on our homes bring torch and the touch of there master to all of our kin.

But as damned as things look here there is still hope for us and a way for our people to weather this challenge. But that plan will most likely come at a cost that only I can pay, but one I will pay gladly to give you all the best chance for our people. So I order you my Jarls and you my Hands to quit this field and go around an by pass this force once I meet them on the field alone and get them to give chase for me. As we all know who this force is here to kill first and foremost, we all know who this force we give chase to kill first if given the choice. As the rage of the 4 will only be sated at this point with one thing.

So I will do my duty here so that we may all have the best chance of weathering this storm. Though before we start to get things ready for this plan and put it in motion, I have something to say to you all and then to you my Hands Ingvar and Ulf in private. An So my people, I will just like to say that it has been a honor to fight with you all this season, a honor to have lead you all changing history for our people and for letting us do the work of All-Father Olric in his lands. So go with Olric my brothers and make ready for the coming storm."

Then once the others have left and it is just me and my Hands in my tent. "Ingvar. Ulf. I am sorry that we must part ways at this point. But know that even in this short time that I have know you my friends, I am glad to have called you battle brother and have fought, drank and bled with you on this field. An though I don't go onto this field to die and only buy time for you to get by the beasts of the 4. I also know that there is a good chance that I will die this day. So to two you I will leave my my wife, to you two I will leave our people to care for if I should fall here. As I know you two can keep them together. So good bye for now my brothers in steel and sweat.

An may Olric willing, it will not be for long. So until next we meet my friends, may the All-Father by with you and may you die with honor."

An with that I leave them and walk out to the field, past my men, past my pack who I tell to stay with the army and towards the horde of chaos in between us and our homes. An to the force of Chaos I scream. "Alright you mangy bastards, here I am Cameron the Wanderer! Cameron the High King! Cameron lord of the north! Cameron the Hammer of the North! Cameron the Wolf King! An Cameron the Strong! Is there enough of you fouls bastards to take me to your masters or is this the day you all die!?

An with that I charge at them, always moving, always striking at any and everything around me. Throwing strikes, people or creature every which way in there mists, clapping to deaf and stomping to break there footing so that they may never fight to there best and always arms deep in there ranks. Knowing that if I every truly stop or slow down there sheer numbers of magics or foul blessing will overwhelm me and take me down. An so I hold nothing back, always plowing through or skipping away from any spot. Releasing the full might of my runed arms and always targeting there casters and fastest units first, so as to make sure there is nothing that can get up with me or slow me down. Though after awhile I slowly start to lead them away from my men and further away. An I do this until my men are gone and until I either cripple there forces or I die.

Vargr Skarin

Gear: The usual, hunting spears

Loot: all of 4 silver's worth to his name

HAH!

How does the bout with the other knight go?

Almost seeming to understand your intentions, younger males emerge from the packs. The biggest and strongest among them. Some of them are so big you're sure that they have Giant Wolf blood in them as well. All in all you have about 50 of the biggest, strongest, and toughest wolves for your pack.

Good. We'll doubtlessly be picking up some females as we go along, but not weakening the local packs in that respect seems wise. Meet the eyes of as many of the larger gathering as I can and give a single, stern nod, as well as growl my thanks.

You go on your hunt, running hard and long with the pack. Before the night is over you bring down around 8 deer and a pair of wild boar. Your new pack eats well tonight.

When morning comes, what do you intend to do with them?

I instruct them to find a place, or rather places given the pack's size, where they could rest undisturbed during the day. I also attempt to indicate to them that we are guests in this territory, and as such it is best not to provoke the Men living here. We will get out fill of the hunt and the kill shortly, and that hunt will be a long one, sure to challenge them and test their mettle, fang and claw, but a conflict here would be inadvisable as I am negotiating with the pack leader of these Men in their Den.

After that's done, I'll take one of the boars - or, if they've both been eaten, hunt a new one down - and bring it back to the castle.
